Dear Guest
Born and bred in the Falmouth area, one can become blind to the natural beauty of one's surroundings. Five years ago, I returned to Falmouth to visit my family. Walking the dog along the cliff path on a cool, balmy, moonlit evening, I was struck by the sheer beauty and force of nature. The contrast of my city life was so apparent. Three months later I was back here in Maenporth, working for the family business again!
Preserving the natural splendour is intrinsic with life in Cornwall. We are well aware that we must tread lightly in order to preserve our environment. We hope you will join us in our philosophy and follow the steps we have outlined in the '5 Steps to Being a Responsible Visitor'. As a company we realise we have a long way to go until we will be as low impact as we like, but small acorns grow to great oaks.
Cornish Holiday Cottages, founded in 1978, continues to be a family affair, the only difference being that I now own the company. We continually strive to raise the standards of the properties we manage and the service we provide. We have an efficient booking system, some gorgeous new holiday homes and a comprehensive website, with many photos to help you get a feel for each property.
We pride ourselves on being a small and friendly company and we hope you will allow us to help you find your dream holiday home. Because we are local to you, we are always on hand should you need us.
If you cannot decide on a property, or have any special requirements, please feel free to contact us and we will do our utmost to meet your needs. I look forward to being of service to you in the future.
Kindest Regards
Emily
What is a Quality Assessment?
A Quality Assessment provides each property with a star rating that helps potential customers understand the level of facilities and services that they might expect to make an informed decision on whether it is right for them.The standards VisitBritain assess to have been created as a result of harmonising the standards from the National Tourist Boards for England, Scotland and Wales. The star ratings received reflect the overall quality of the experience. Their team of professional assessors currently assess more than 10,000 self-catering properties every year. All self-catering accommodation is awarded a star rating, based on the property meeting their minimum requirements. The level of quality is determined by a star rating varying from 1 – 5 stars.
Below is a simplified definition of the ratings:
* Simple, practical, no frills
* * Well presented and well run
* * * Good level of quality and comfort
* * * * Excellent level of quality and comfort
* * * * * Exceptional with a degree of luxury
