Clipper Cottage

Clipper Cottage, a former Coastguard Cottage set just back from Castle beach on Pendennis Point, has panoramic views across Falmouth Bay, from Pendennis point to the Manacles on the Lizard. This cottage occupies a tranquil and secluded location yet is close to many of Falmouth's amenities: Castle beach is one minute walk, Gyllyngvase beach is 10 minutes, the shops near Customs House quay are 10 minutes and Falmouth Docks Train Station is 2 minutes on foot. And a favourite with the children, the Ships and Castles Leisure Pool is a few minutes walk up the hill.

The cottage has its roots in the late 1800s and has been extended and modernised in more recent years, but there is no mistaking its origins. The accommodation is light and spacious with sea views from the sitting room, kitchen and two double bedrooms. The remaining rooms have a view of the garden. The well established, sunny, walled garden is secluded with well stocked borders. There are teak tables and chairs on the front patio and in the garden.

This very comfortable cottage is gas centrally heated and has double glazing throughout, making it the perfect retreat whatever the weather.

Accommodation

SITTING ROOM : With sash bay window and sea view. Two comfortable, three seater sofas, TV, DVD Player, VCR, Freeview, Victorian style gas fire and mantle piece, board games and books.

DINING ROOM : Connected to sitting room with table and chairs for 8, garden and sea views.

KITCHEN : With electric oven and hob, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, central heating boiler and door to front patio, sea view.

HALL/STUDY : Back door to garden, desk for laptop (with broadband internet access), hat stand and shoe rack. Cupboard under stairs containing tumble dryer, Stairs to first floor.

WC : Separate downstairs toilet and hand basin.

DOUBLE BEDROOM FRONT (MASTER) : Double bed, dressing table and chair, built in wardrobe, chest of drawers and sash windows.View of the bay.

DOUBLE BEDROOM : Two, dual aspect, windows with stunning sea views, double bed, bedside tables and lamps, chest of drawers and built in wardrobe.

TWIN BEDROOM : Two sash windows overlooking pretty garden, twin beds with bedside tables, lamps and built in wardrobe.

FAMILY BATHROOM : White suite comprising large bath with hand shower, basin, mirror, separate large walk-in shower, wc. Enjoy the sea views whilst you shower!

GARDEN : Well established, sunny, secluded, walled garden accessed from hall/study with camellia, mimosa, jasmine and palm agapanthus. A real sun trap. Teak table and chairs, BBQ. Paved area for shade. Separate walled storage area for surf boards and wet gear with outdoor tap and cold shower for washing self and wetsuits etc. Gate access from garden to front of cottage.

PARKING : Parking adjacent to cottage for one car only on daily basis, temporary unloading space for two cars without blocking the Crescent. Unrestricted parking on Castle Hill and Castle Drive at the end of Bay View Crescent (a few metres from the Cottage).
