Auckland House

This stunning 1830's town house is filled with oodles of natural light, beautiful period features and ceiling heights of epic proportions. The two double bedrooms and the sitting room have wonderful harbour views. With all this detail you will be forgiven for not wanting to rush out of the sumptuous beds early, of a morning. Breakfast should be consumed in the garden, to make the best of the morning sunshine. Stone's Bakery opens at 9am, but you can place your order the day before for collection on the dot.

Lovingly renovated by its new owners, Auckland House is a wonderful holiday home for you and your family to enjoy. Falmouth town centre is just a ten minute stroll from the house, or the marina five minutes. There are masses of restaurants and eating establishments nearby that serve excellent food. The newly opened Star and Garter, is highly recommended and is conveniently situated at the top of the old High Street. Even closer still is the Boathouse Pub with its panoramic sea views and excellent Sunday roast. If you are checking out on Saturday then you might be tempted by the '2 for £10 cocktails' on the terrace at The Greenbank Hotel, which was once occupied by Kenneth Grahame for a whole season - the letters he wrote to his son from here became the basis for the 'Wind in the Willows'.

Waking up to the sun glistening on the still harbour, the birds chirping happily and small boats bobbing about, you can see clearly where this inspiration came from. Falmouth is a thriving seaside town with a strong university and marine presence.

This three/four bedroom, semi-detached holiday home offers a wonderful mix of contemporary and period charm. A perfect base for you, your family and friends, from which to explore the miles of Cornish coast and golden sands.
