Beachcomber House

Here at Cornish Holiday Cottages we are lucky enough to be able to offer Beachcomber House for the summer 2017 weeks. Owned by the renowned Botanical Illustrator, Sarah Jane Humphrey, this fantastic Edwardian home beautifully encapsulates her style and intricate artworks.

We are a huge fan of period properties with their grand proportions and fine detailing, synonymous of the decadent past eras. Built in 1908, Beachcomber House tastefully nods to it’s close proximity to Falmouth Bay, the seafront and Castle Beach.

As a space to relax on holiday, you will enjoy the large rooms and beautiful furnishings. Teenagers and adults can stroll into Falmouth, watch a film, grab a bite to eat, or have a meander round the lovely boutique style shops at either end of the town centre. The little ones will no doubt want to be on the beach, swimming, making sandcastles and indulging in a little clotted cream ice-cream. If the weather plays up then there’s a good half day’s entertainment at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall on Events Square, plus there’s art galleries with great summer programs for children and the Ships and Castles Leisure Centre. Lane swimming, spas and saunas are in most of the bigger hotels in Falmouth.

Beachcomber House offers some flexible bed solutions, with three king size beds, plus two single rooms with optional pull out singles, which can form king beds if required. The loft room is not suitable for tall persons. The house comfortably sleeps two families.
