Roseladen House

This attentively refurbished farmhouse sits amongst Cornish green fields, yet is so close to beaches, boating, Falmouth town, shops and is on the doorstep of the Helford. Or just relax in Roseladen's own splendid setting, with seemingly endless verdant green that greet you at every window, allowing you to feel truly connected to this area of outstanding natural beauty.

Roseladen House sits in a 24 acre estate of farmland, gardens (an ongoing labour of love) and four other dwellings. All guests are welcome to explore the land which is accessible through the fields behind the house and down towards the valley floor, is a sheltered country garden, which the friendly owners are busy building into a little Cornish paradise. Feel free to wander the gardens, use the fire pit to lengthen warm summer evenings, or find a quiet spot on the estate for your own picnic or barbeque.

A working garden with chickens, there's a host of seasonal produce on offer to guests. So if you need some eggs for your breakfast or want to cook with some fresh vegetables don't hesitate to ask.Sleeping six in two double bedrooms and one twin, Roseladen House combines original features with modern amenities and a light, airy feel. In the living room a log burner gives added warmth for evenings in, while the large dining room, with its original fireplace, is perfect for family meals. Or relax outside in the gardens and eat alfresco.

Maenporth (a mile's walk through a winding footpath) and Swanpool beach (plus cafe and restaurant) are a quick 5 minutes hop in the car with Gyllyngvase Beach and its vibrant cafe a couple of minutes on from that. Falmouth town and boating centres are then on your doorstep if going east, or if heading west from Roseladen you can head via the green lanes to the Ferryboat Inn on the Helford which is only a 10 minutes drive. Roseladen is close to Budock Vean and other hotels and restaurants and to some wonderful gardens, such as Trebah, a source of inspiration for the owners in creating their gardens.
