Summary
Some houses have ‘that feeling’ and this rural retreat certainly has it. Yes, Wills Cottage has oodles of the feel-good factor. The vast, open-plan kitchen and dining area opens out onto seven acres of south-facing garden and woodland with a spring-fed stream and is the epitome of ‘the great outdoors’. The energy here is truly relaxing and homely.
A traditional farmhouse, furnished in contemporary style. Upstairs, the bedrooms have a luxurious feel, with goose down duvets and pillows. The principal bedrooms have well-appointed en-suite bathrooms enjoying underfloor heating.
The vast grounds, access to idyllic walks and with Port Navas creek just down the hill, means that well-behaved dogs are welcome – and by all means bring your dinghy and kayaks. The Helford River is the most beautiful, tranquil setting for pottering about on the water. The Port Navas Yacht Club, The Ferry Boat Inn, The Shipwrights and the Trengilly Wartha Inn all serve great food if your chefs fancy a night off!
With four bedrooms including a children’s ‘dorm’ with mezzanine and the additional annexe with a further bedroom, this wonderful holiday home can accommodate a group of up to twelve people. The large kitchen is well equipped to allow for long, languorous meals on the terrace or under the all-weather gazebo. There are fairy lights and ambience aplenty. You bring the family and friends and Wills Cottage will do the rest. Grandparents might enjoy sloping off to the annexe for a few moments peace and quiet, or keep the internal door unlocked and let the teenagers cook for themselves

The heart of the home, with Aga and NEFF electric oven, two ring hob, kitchen island, bar stools, natural slate flooring, underfloor heating and double aspect French doors opening onto the garden. Ample food storage in larder. Extending Mathew Hilton Cross dining table to comfortably accommodate 12. Two tiled steps divide the kitchen and dining space.
Sitting room and snug
Two comfortable seating areas, one arranged around the inglenook fireplace with sofa and armchairs, the other a corner sofa and coffee table. The snug has more comfortable seating, a fireplace and flat screen TV.

Annexe living room/kitchen
The living area comprises of sofa, comfy armchair, TV and log burner, a dining table to seat two and patio doors opening out to the garden and outside seating. Kitchen with oven, hob, fridge and washing machine.

Washing machine, shower room, further sink, boot storage and overhead drying facilities.
Garden
A large open garden with seating, woodland, open field, stream and a ‘fairly steep and uneven’ footpath down to the village.

A fantastic, ‘all weather’ outdoor eating area.

Ample parking for up to four vehicles, with steps (no hand rail) leading to the house.

You may not use the car too much this holiday! Wills Cottage is two miles to Constantine and three to Mawnan Smith. In that radius alone you have some great pubs, Glendurgan and Trebah gardens and the Budock Vean spa, swimming pool and outdoor hot-tub to name a few opportunities.
The harbour side town of Falmouth is twenty minutes in the car. The town has a rich maritime history and is host to Falmouth University, the National Maritime Museum Cornwall, an array of interesting independent shops and boutiques and many art galleries. Eating out at least once in Falmouth is a must. For a shellfish meal you will not forget, be sure to book the big table at The Wheelhouse, (at least four weeks in advance).
At Wills Cottage you are in the heart of the unspoilt south coast of Cornwall. For a great morning/afternoon walk head to The Lizard, the U.K’s most southerly point for breath-taking scenery and a clotted cream ice cream. There’s ample swimming opportunities at Kynance Cove, Gunwalloe and Praa Sands to name a few of the glorious beaches on this section of coast.
For the best surf spots head to the north coast, but as with any day out always check the weather/wind, tide and surf reports. We recommend AccuWeather and TideTimes .

Zip & Link bed: This bed will be made up as a super-king unless you have requested otherwise. Please email your alternative bed requirements to info@cornishholidaycottages.com at least ten days before your arrival.
Non-allergenic bedding: If you require certain beds to be made up with non-allergenic bedding please let us know at least a week in advance of your stay.
Under-occupancy discount: Reduction of £300 per week for two or less guests during November, December (excluding Christmas and New Year weeks), January, February and March. Please call us to apply this discount.
