Watersports in Mylor


On the sea or by the shore

Mylor has so much to offer. Mylor Harbour is a short walk along one side of the creek, at the end you will find a bustling harbour with watersports galore, Mylor café, Castaways Mylor, a boat yard, sailing clubs and a lovely church overlooking the water.

Mylor Yacht Harbour

The waters around Mylor, Restronguet Creek and Feock are well known for their sailing and watersports. Down at Mylor Churchtown there is a large marina and floating pontoon serviced by Mylor Yacht Harbour. During the summer there's an impressive array of vessels bobbing up and down on the water the perfect background for an afternoon tea down at Castaways or The Mylor Cafe. As well as year round moorings, there's room for guest boats and facilites for those sailing on them.

Mylor Boat Hire

Hiring your own boat is a great way to get the family out on the water and explore hidden creeks, waterside pubs and stunning scenery. Mylor Boat Hire are situated at Mylor Church and have motorboats, launches and a range of sailing boats available. Motorboats and smaller sailing boats can be rented by the hour, but the larger vessels can only be hired by the day you would use up your hour just navigating out of the harbour!

For those of you keen to learn to sail, Mylor Sailing School offers a range of different lessons. They offer everything from beginners lessons for children to YHA levelled 5 day intensive courses.
