Chy-an-Dour

Ground floor

entry via a stable door into the kitchen and open plan ground floor. Under floor heating in kitchen. Travertine stone floor throughout.

Kitchen/dining area

fitted kitchen with granite worktops, kitchen table and leather chairs, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave and ceramic hob. Open beams and staircase with child/dog gate.

Sitting room

open fireplace with stone mantel, solid granite hearth and large wood burning stove. Leather sofas. Original sash windows with seats and another stable door. Large flat screen TV.

First floor master bedroom

stunning vaulted ceiling. Leather framed king size bed with views from window seat across the Helford River. Bedside tables with lamps. Wood floor. Wall mounted fire with mantelpiece. Built in wardrobe. Double ended slipper bath by window. (NB Care should be taken when using the shower attachment not to spray water onto the wood floors and children should be supervised)

Second bedroom

good size double/twin bedroom with original ceiling, sash window and Velux window providing extra light. Super king size bed unzips to form two 3 ft single beds. Bedside cabinets with lamps. Cupboard.

Wet room

with powerful electric shower, wc and hand basin. Tiled throughout in grey slate. We ask that guests do not use the wet room straight from the beach when sandy there is a heated shower outside the property for sandy people, children and dogs.

Outside

a small area outside the front of the property with a two seater traditional wheel bench. Heated shower to the outside of the property. Small walled garden to the rear of the property with table and chairs.

Parking

parking is limited in Durgan especially at peak times. There are two parking spaces in front of Chy an Dour which are shared between three cottages. The villagers are friendly and all try to make space for each other with mutual respect. Please do not block any entrances, boats or cars when unloading. There is parking in the National Trust car park at the top of the hill, a five minute walk away.
