Summary

Nestled along the quayside of Falmouth is where you’ll discover Port View, our aptly-named holiday apartment within the acclaimed Packet Quays development. Much has changed on the quay since the famous Packet ships carried mail across the globe, with the wharf now transformed into an ideal base for a stay in this brilliant and historic harbour town.

From the window, the curious amongst us will revel in the happenings on the harbour, enjoying prime position to watch a Cornish life play out before them as all manner of boats from super yachts to sailing dinghies dart across the water. Over a morning coffee, your daily life fades to distant memory, although you might enjoy watching someone else commute – a few people still do that by boat here.

Port View benefits from an open-plan living area, with large windows designed to embrace it’s view. Equipped with everything you should need to ensure your stay is in utter comfort, this two-bedroom apartment comes with two bathrooms (including a master en-suite) ensuring that everyone can get ready in time for making the most of the day ahead.

The unique perspective offered by Port View is certain to bring you joy, occupying one of the very best locations in Falmouth. A holiday is made special by a few key ingredients. For some people it’s a view, a brilliant local bakery, a sandy beach or perhaps a nearby pub. A stay at Port View in Falmouth offers all of this and more, making it the ideal place for a holiday in Cornwall.

Winchester gardens are right outside the door. One of Falmouth’s best-kept secrets, this terraced garden style area of public space is a wonderful addition to Port View.

Meander down the Old High Street, marvelling at the array of independent shops, coffee houses and antique emporiums that you’ll pass along the way. Be sure to pop into Stones Bakery for your bread or morning coffee, or book a Sunday lunch at the Star and Garter to enjoy elevated views across the harbour.

Your car can be left securely in it’s parking space, as there is so much to explore on foot. The beaches are a 20 minute stroll away through the town (but be sure to factor in more time to enjoy being distracted by the sights and sounds that you’ll encounter along the way…)

Get out on to the water from Prince of Wales Pier, a short walk from the apartment and the place to catch all manner of ferries and boat trips out to other waterside towns and villages such as St Mawes, Flushing, and beyond. Don’t forget to look back at Port View as you cross the harbour – and spot your window from the water!

Falmouth enjoys a thriving cultural scene, and is famous for its array of festivals that happen throughout the year. Port View provides the perfect place to stay during the Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival, taking place every June. Falmouth’s Oyster Festival, Beer Festival and Falmouth week are also not to be missed.
