Gyllyngvase beach in Falmouth. The Sea is blue and people are sitting on the white sand.

Gyllyngvase Beach

The most popular beach in Falmouth, and for good reason! Blue Flag Gyllyngvase Beach (or Gylly, as it is affectionately called by us locals) has it all. Lifeguards in the summer, a cafe, restaurant, loo, water-sports centre, and beautiful clear swimming waters. Easy parking. Dogs are restricted only between 10am and 6pm from 15th May to 30th Sept.

For anyone who knows the local area, Gyllyngvase is the obvious choice for a day out with the bucket and spade. Gyllyngvase has always been known as being a great beach for kids, and is great for a bit of rock-pooling. Life Guards are always on duty in the season, and ice creams are always on tap! Also, if you fancy something a little more sophisticated to eat, the Gylly Beach cafe is on hand throughout the day and into the evening for something special.
