Children's Sailing Helford, Cornwall

Helford River Children's Sailing Trust Visit website

Kenneth Graham was staying in Falmouth when he wrote The Wind in the Willows in which he said "There is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats". And that's what just about everyone who lives or holidays near the Helford River thinks, too.

If you are between 8 and 14, you can learn to sail or kayak on the Helford with RYA-approved instructors on one of the Helford River Children's Sailing Trust's popular four mornings or four afternoons summer courses. Since we started in 1997, we have trained thousands of young people, and for many it has been the start of a confident future and a lifelong love of the water. You would be welcome to join them.

These friendly, fun, and rewarding courses fill up quite quickly, so we recommend booking early online here.
